Old doors and weathered surfaces have always drawn me in. This alla prima study became an exploration of texture, warm reflected light, and the quiet beauty carried by aged materials.
Working with a restrained palette allowed me to focus on atmosphere, surface variation, and the subtle balance between structure and softness. Layers of worn plaster, terracotta tones, and faded architectural details create a sense of memory and quiet passage through time.
