A quiet presence I encounter almost daily, the raven became an exploration of subtle color shifts hidden within darkness. Painting black on black transformed into a study of atmosphere, reflected light, and form slowly emerging through layered tones of indigo, violet, burgundy, and deep shadow.
Rather than focusing on detail alone, I wanted to capture the calm intelligence and quiet mystery carried by these birds — a presence both grounded and symbolic.
