Created through an intuitive process, Beyond the Edge explores the relationship between light, color, texture, and movement. A luminous field emerges above layers of turquoise, charcoal, warm orange, and deep red, while crackled surfaces and spontaneous marks reveal traces of the painting’s evolution.
Rather than beginning with a recognizable subject, I allowed the composition to develop through layering, responding to each mark, texture, and shift in color as the painting evolved. The result is a piece that invites individual interpretation, something between landscape, atmosphere, and pure abstraction.
