For many years, life was filled with responsibilities — family, work, building a home, and simply doing what needed to be done. Art was always somewhere in the background, quietly waiting.
Like many people, I grew up hearing that becoming an artist was not a realistic path in life. So creativity slowly gave way to practical choices, careers, and everyday obligations.
Only later in life, after my children grew up and life became quieter, did I finally find the space to return to painting.
What began as learning soon became something much deeper.
When I paint, time disappears. My studio feels like another world — peaceful, imaginative, and filled with wonder. Surrounded by the nature of the Tehachapi mountains, oak trees, deer, and endless changing light, I slowly rediscovered a part of myself that had been patiently waiting all along.
Today, I no longer see art only as a dream from the past, but as a meaningful part of my present life.
This website is not only a place to share finished paintings. It is also a reflection of an ongoing journey — one of learning, gratitude, and becoming.
